Shipping and returns

Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Nehanda Design, each item is lovingly made to order. We aim to deliver your handcrafted product safely and efficiently, whether you're local or ordering from abroad.

South African Orders

  • Free shipping for all orders of R1400 an above.
  • A flat-rate of R95 applies to South African deliveries for orders under R1400.
  • Shipping will take 2–3 business days from date of dispatch.

International Orders

  • Shipping costs for international orders are calculated at checkout and vary depending on your destination and chosen shipping method.
  • 1–2 weeks for international delivery after your order has been shipped.

Taxes & Duties

  • (where applicable) are the responsibility of the recipient and will be calculated upon logging your shipment with the courier.
  • If you are purchasing a gift and would like us to invoice you for duties and taxes separately, please email us before or after checkout and we’ll be happy to assist.

Production Time

As all our products are made to order, please allow 7–14 business days for manufacturing before dispatch.

Once your parcel has been dispatched, we will send you a tracking number so you can follow its journey from our Cape Town studio to your door.

Returns & Repairs Policy


At Nehanda Design, our pieces are handcrafted with intention to be both beautiful and long-lasting. While we strive for a robust and sturdy finish, the nature of handmade products means occasional issues can occur. If your item arrives with any breakage or something significantly wrong, we’re here to help.

Returns

If you change your mind or are not completely satisfied with your order, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your product at info@nehandadesign.co.za. We kindly ask that the item be returned unused, undamaged, and in its original condition. Once the returned item is assessed and confirmed to be in good condition, we will issue a full credit for the purchase amount.

Please note: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product arrived damaged or defective.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your item arrives damaged due to transit or has a manufacturing fault, please notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will gladly repair or replace the item at no additional cost to you.

Repairs After 14 Days

If your product requires repair after the 14-day period, we are still happy to assist. A service fee may apply, which will be quoted based on the nature of the repair and time required.
